The Waiting Game

Man, it seemed like EVERY present I opened had some type of twist tie to get off or a box that was hard to get into. If it wasn't one of the above, the gift needed batteries. Man, this present opening really tries your patience. Poor Dad and Papa Joe they had a time getting into those boxes. As you can see I was sitting waiting and cheering them on!
Nana's present

Well this is how the story of Nana's present goes....Cooper and I were told to take Nana her present. So as you can see in the bottom two pictures we simply pushed her gift over to her. We assumed that for all of our hard work we could open it as well. So the top two pictures are Cooper and I opening Nana's gift from everyone FOR HER!

Prayers requested please.......
Please keep Ashley's cousin and his wife Lyle and Elizabeth Holt as well as their families in your prayers. Their 5 month old daughter Rebecca passed away yesterday evening unexpectedly. I can't even begin to imagine the sense of pain and loss that they are going through right now and the range of emotions they will experience over the coming days, weeks and months as they grieve the loss of their precious daughter and granddaughter. It's just not fair that this has happened to a 5 month old child but as with all things God has a plan and we can be comforted knowing that Rebecca is with Jesus now and is being showered with his love and care.
This has been on my mind since last night when I found out, stuck in a hotel room in Nashville when all I wanted to do was to be home and able to give Griffin a kiss and a hug. I came across a poem tonight I'd like to share that pretty much sums up all the thoughts that have ran through my mind since last night. I especially love the way it gives us hope at the end. It pains us that Rebecca is gone but it is great to know that God has turned her into a little angel.
The saddest word, goodbye
When God calls our children
to dwell with Him above,
We mortals sometimes question
the wisdon of His love.
For no heartache compares with,
the death of one small child.
Who does so much to make our world,
seem so wonderful and mild.
Perhaps God tires of calling
the aged to His fold.
So He picks a rosebud
before it can grow old.
God knows how much we need them,
and so He takes but few.
To make the land of heaven
more beautiful to view.
Believing this is difficult
still somehow we must try.
The saddest word mankind knows
will always be Good-bye.
So when a little child departs,
we who are left behind,
Must realize God loves children.

Out of Order
Well folks, it may be a while before you see any new pics. Mom and Dad's desk top has crashed. How this affects the blog is, all of my wonderful pics are on that computer. Dad backed up some older pics but not any recent ones. We have a friend trying to recover this stuff called data. We will see how it goes. So, please don't fret I will return as soon as possible!

No Halloween Pics for me...

I was unable to go trick or treating this year. I was so disappointed and so was Mom. Mimi and Granddaddy came all the way from Piedmont just to see me dressed up and instead they had to stop and pick me up.
On they way home from school I just wasn't feeling well. I heard Mom tell Dad that I didn't look really good and well after that I just heard her scream. I would say the best way to describe what happened was a volcano of cup cake, lasgna and juice came spewing out of my mouth. I got so scared because Mom was screaming and pulling over on the side of the road, I couldn't stop spewing and a cop pulled up. All I know is Mom nor I will be eating lasgna for quiet a while. So, needless to say, we pulled over at a gas station, where Mimi and Granddaddy came to pick me up so I wouldn't have to ride in the lava (that's what we'll call it, it just sounds better). Meanwhile Mom cleaned out her NEW car with the gas station's vaccum. I didn't really feel like dressing up so we just hung out at the house and passed out candy. I would say all in all it was a good night. I got a new bag and two dollars so it wasn't a loss.

Trunk or Treat

We had Trunk or Treat at church on Sunday night. I had a ball walking around with people giving me candy every where I turned. I also found a golf cart like the one I have at Mimi and Granddaddy's. I had to hop on and get my picture taken. There was a cool jumpy blow up thing but I was way too small to jump in it with the big kids. I hope next year Mom and Dad will relax and let me jump in the big jumpy blow up thing.
big bed

It's official, I'm a big kid now. No more cribs or todder beds for me. I have my very own full size bed and big boy room. No sissy pastel colors, it's all boy now. Mom got her baby room but it's all gone. I'm almost 2 and the baby stage is long past. As you can see, they put rails on my bed. I don't know if they are to keep me from rolling off the bed or to keep me in it. All I know is they can't hold me down! As you can see I have mastered getting in and out of the bed just fine.
It's gonna get crazy around here now.
